Description

Calculus of one variable: numbers, limits of sequences, series, continuous and differentiable functions, Taylor series, integrals.

Basic linear algebra: vector space, basis, determinants, scalar product.

Materials

The course will not strictly follow any of the textbooks, yet there is a lot of literature that cover the material of the course. You can find many helpful references at the webpage of the previous year course given by Stephan Mescher.

During the course the handwritten lecture notes will be published in Google website and / or here shortly after the lectures.

Online participation

In case you have to participate in this course while not being in Leipzig, there are the following arrangements. First, homeworks will be published at Moodle website, and you will need to send solutions there as well, so you can fully participate in that. Second, videos of lectures will be available for you. Third, you can use videos of the previous year course  , the material will have a very significant overlap with this year course. Fourth, the handwritten lecture notes of this course will be available. Fifth, the online exercise session on Wednesday is specifically planned for those who are currently not in Leipzig.
