The course "Advanced Statistical Mechanics" introduces methods to deal with the thermodynamics and the hydrodynamic and critical fluctuations of interacting many-body systems on a microscopic (atomistic) basis. Your solid knowledge about ideal gases (including those of the major elementary excitations in solids) is taken for granted.
