In this course, we will read and discuss texts of the New Testament and apocryphal texts with a special focus on the fascinating subjects of dying and death. What thoughts and ideas regarding to these topics are found in Early Christianity? In which way are situations of death described? What happens to the body, what happens to the soul? What about the afterlife?
But we will not only focus on the content of the texts but also on the English language itself. In this course, you will get the chance to polish up and/or to broaden your English skills. We will have plenty of time to repeat grammatical phenomena and to expand your vocabulary. Even if you might consider your English skills on a very low level, please join our course. We can agree on the final content, level and pace of our course in our introductory meeting.
