Amidst internationalization and migation movements, schools are responsible for promoting linguistic diversity in the classrooms. The promotion of both heritage languages and German as an educational language is part of a school and teaching culture that sharpens the performance and learning level of all students and is intended to convey an intercultural acceptance and appreciation of multilingualism. The seminar aims to address concepts for promoting heritage languages and the German language and wants to raise awareness of multilingualism and interculturality. There will be a critical analysis of the implementation requirements specified by the federal states and the real implementation conditions (including distribution of resources) at the schools.
