In this course, different artificial intelligence and machine learning approaches used to improve diagnosis and ameliorate patients care are discussed. In particular, it will dive into the patients' data acquisition and processing, the use of supervised and unsupervised learning, as well as the evaluation and explainability of the trained models. A special attention is given to bias and fairness, and more particularly in ethical issues that may arise.
