In this seminar, we will explore one topic from current NLP research each semester. After an introduction to the topic, students will choose a paper from a pre-compiled list, which they will present in class, followed by a group discussion. After the end of the seminar, students will submit a written research proposal for a project building on the papers that were discussed. Practical implementation of the research proposal will not be part of the class. The topic for SoSe2026 will be “Massively Multilingual Language Models”.
