The course at the Faculty of Law (Juristenfakultät) is focused on contemporary issues of European criminal law (ECL), namely: definition of ECL and its relation to national criminal law; sources of ECL; European approach to criminal liability and jurisdiction; exchange of information from national criminal records; Euro-crimes; procedural rights; co-operation in criminal matters; Schengen co-operation, joint investigation teams; protection of victims of crime; institutional dimension of co-operation.
